Who is the Holy Spirit?

The Greek word here for counsellor is parakletos which comes from two words, para, meaning alongside, and kaleo, meaning to call. So the counsellor is literally ‘the one who is called alongside.’

Why is this such an appropriate promise for Jesus to make at this time?
